After four and a half months, the NFL has whittled the championship contenders down to 4 teams. The loser pool has pretty much done the same. There are others with a mathematical shot at the title, but for all intents and purposes, it should be one of the current top 4 left standing after the Superbowl. Reigning champ Nick Caric sits in good position for at least a shot at a repeat, sitting only 21 points out of first.
Thirteen teams picked up points this week with losses by the Seahawks and the Colts. Unfortunately most of those picking up points have been out of it for over a month and have given up on the season. Only one team that was in the top 10 prior to the Divisional playoff picked up points. Mark Hyde, with his pick of Indy jumped into contention for a payoff spot. A couple big men also worked their way into the top 10 with a Seahawks loss, as Mike Storrey and Dan Cumming now sit in 7th and 8th respectively.
Only two games to pick from this week. It's a tough week for alot of teams at the top of the standings. On one hand you want to take a shot at winning it all, on another hand you don't want to be passed by someone on the outside looking in. Should make for some interesting strategy over the next week or two, trying to outthink those above and below you. Deadline is Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Good luck with your Conference Championship picks!
