SublimeWeb Playoff Hockey Pool
Playoff Beards Wanted
The playoff hockey pool is a little different than the regular season pool. Each conference has a list of players eligible to be chosen, four forwards and 2 defensemen from each NHL playoff team. From those groups, each team will consist of 6 forwards and 4 defensemen from each conference. Scoring is based on goals & assists for all players. The team with the most points at the end of the playoffs is the winner. Prizes, based on standing at the end of the playoffs, are paid out to at least 10% of the entrants. There are also bonus prizes paid out to the top scoring team by playoff round, with the final two rounds counting as one.
The playoff pool opens for registrations in late March to early April and closes after each team has played at least 1 game in the playoffs. Unlimited changes to your team are available up until the deadline. Follow your team through the Stanley Cup chase with regular updates, the weekly updates, and the league message board to talk a little 'smack' to your fellow competitors.
The next playoff hockey pool will be posted near the end of the 2008-2009 regular season.
